Chief Parr holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He has attended both Indiana University and Sam Houston State University. He was a Certified Public Accountant for some of his life, but knew his passion was for the Fire Service. He holds many awards and honors. Chief Parr hopes to assist each employee to achieve their highest potential, and hopes to leave the department in a better condition than when he arrived. He is humbled, honored, and privileged to serve the community of Tomball and the Tomball Fire Department.
Assistant Fire Chief
Jonathon holds a Bachelors degree in Fire Administration and is currently obtaining his Masters degree in Public Administration. He holds many certifications including, but not limited to: Master Firefighter, Instructor II, Master Inspector and Investigator. In 2006 he received the Texas' Home Town Hero Award. With over 23 years of experience in the Fire Service, he was served the Taylor Fire Department, the Tomball Fire Department, the U.S. Army, Austin Community College and various other places. Jonathan plans to serve the Tomball community to the best of his abilities with his years of experience and education he plans to mentor and coach other members of the department.
Joe is currently obtaining his Master’s degree in Public Administration and is expected to graduate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2019. He holds his Bachelor degree in Emergency Management and graduated Cum Laude from West Texas A&M. He holds many certifications, including, but not limited to: TEEX Fire Service Chief Executive Offier, LEMIT Fire Executive Manager (First Class), Master Firefighter, and more. He was awarded the Officer of the Year in 2013. In addition to serving Tomball; he has served the communities of Cy-Fair and Houston. He has been serving the Tomball community since 2013, where he has served as a Lieutenant, a Captain, and now the city’s Fire Marshal. Joe hopes to one day pursue Upper City Management. In addition, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and traveling.
Jeff began his career in the Fire Service as a Junior Firefighter with Ponderosa Fire Department. He has served the communities of Klein, Spring, and Humble. He currently serves as a District Chief for the Houston Fire Department and Logistics Specialist for Tomball. Jeff holds many awards and honors, including, but not limited to: the Chief’s Award and Fire Fighter of the Year. Jeff hopes to be the best he can and plans to continue his college education. In addition, Jeff serves as a principle member of the NFPA Technical Committee- Electric Safety Equipment. He enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters.
Shera graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lamar University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. She is a member of two honor societies Phi Kappa Phi, an all disciplined honor society, and Alpha Phi Sigma, a criminal justice honor society. She has previously served as a teacher with Wyndham ISD and Spring ISD. She has also served has a Victim's Coordinator and an Administrative Assistant with Hardin County and has served multiple different positions with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Shera hopes to retire and enjoy her life with her husband, kids and grandkids. In addition, her family enjoys fostering for the Abandoned Animal Rescue.
Summer Intern 2018
Candy graduated from Tomball High School in 2017 and now attends Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Special Education and hopes to one day be an overall, well-rounded teacher and advocate for her students. In high school, she worked at the Original Ribtickler and was the Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2017. She has been honored to be on the Dean's List twice with her university. In addition, she would like to thank the Tomball Fire Department for a great summer experience!
