Tax Office
Residents can pay their Harris County property taxes, renew
automobile registrations and register to vote at the Harris
County Tax Office, located at 101 South Walnut. This office is
fully accessible to the handicapped and includes the latest
technology from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The contact number for the new Harris County Tax Office is
713-368-2490 and office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
Unclaimed Property Held by the City of
Tomball, Texas
The City of Tomball currently holds abandoned and unclaimed
property, in the form of
utility deposits or other refunds that have been abandoned by the
owner for one or more
years. The City of Tomball has provided lists of unclaimed property
– “Corporate
Accounts” and “Individual Accounts” – for your convenience in
locating property that may
be yours.
If you believe you may have abandoned or unclaimed property held by
the City of Tomball,
please search the “Corporate Accounts” list or the “Individual
Accounts” list. If a search
results in any matches, please complete the “Unclaimed Property
Claim Form” and mail it,
with supporting documentation (see Instructions on the claim form),
to the City of Tomball,
501 James Street, Tomball, Texas 77375.
Upon receipt of your completed and signed claim form, we will review
it carefully; if we are
able to determine ownership from the information provided, we will
process your claim. If
the supporting documentation is insufficient, we may contact you for
further information.
